Seven Wonders of United Kingdom

This infographic – The UK’s Seven Wonders – demonstrates some of the amazing landmarks that the UK is home to. From Ireland’s incredible Giant’s Causeway, which looks like stepping stones in the sea but is actually made up of columns of basalt, to York Minster, a phenomenal cathedral which took around 250 years to build.

The sites are extremely popular with tourists to the UK, probably because of the rich and intriguing history that surrounds each of them. One of the most mysterious landmarks is Stonehenge; an ancient collection of giant rocks which continues to baffle scientists even today. Why were they placed there? Who moved them? And how? The sheer size and weight of the stones only serves to add more confusion, as scientists believe they were moved thousands of years ago, when people would only have had the most basic of tools. Whatever the answer, it’s clear that this landmark, along with the many others in the UK, will continue to attract and inspire tourists for years to come!
