Many of us who travel often use our travel time to take care of other things around the home so we do not have to be there in the house while certain work is being done. As an example on our last trip to Jamaica we decided that while we were out of the house for more than a month it would be a great time to have some minor repairs and renovations done on our home. We installed a new shower and had some landscaping work done to improve the property and also to help support our local ecomnoy by hiring local businesses in our community here in Florida.
My good friend Rob is traveling to Jamaica and he decided it was clean up time. I think taking care of household chores and tasks while on vacation makes your vacation doubly good in that you do not have to deal with the headache and stress of those chores when you return. In some ways this is like an extended vacation for home owners and families who often have so many other things to deal with. A lessening of the work load while you enjoy your life on vacation is a great way to improve on your life and make the most of your vacation investments.
